ROOTED FOR CHANGE: The Final Day of Regenerative Agriculture Training at WISE

Rain fell softly over the WISE office this morning — a gentle blessing as we began the final day of our Regenerative Agriculture Training.

One by one, the women arrived in their crisp training uniforms, bringing warmth, energy, and purpose. Undeterred by the weather, they came ready to learn, grow, and take root in something greater than themselves.

A Hands-On Journey at Kaduna Technology City

A highlight of the day was the visit to Kaduna Technology City (Gidan Gona). Here, Mrs. Victoria John — participant, facilitator, and horticulturist — led a hands-on learning session covering:

  • Nurturing seedlings with care
  • Choosing the right soil for different plants
  • Proper seed placement techniques
  • Transplanting without losing vitality

Her teachings deepened the women’s connection to the land and its life-giving potential.

From Resources to Action

Barrister Ruth Olajide (Esq.) delivered an impactful session on Resource Mapping and Action Planning. She helped participants identify their assets — land, skills, tools, and networks — and turn them into strategic, actionable steps for change.

Celebrating Growth and Commitment

As the three-day training ended, each woman received a Certificate of Participation. Their smiles reflected pride, fulfillment, and readiness to drive change in their communities.

We extend our appreciation to every woman, facilitator, and the tireless WISE staff who made this possible.

This is not the end — it’s the spark of a new beginning.
