Kaduna Women Entrepreneurs Empowered Through WISE Mentorship Program

Kaduna, Nigeria

The Women Initiative for Sustainable Environment (WISE) recently hosted a successful WEA Eco-Entrepreneur Mentorship Field Guide event, empowering women entrepreneurs in Kaduna with the skills and tools they need to take their businesses to the next level.

The event, led by WISE’s dynamic Founder/Program Director, Olanike Olugboji-Daramola, brought together women from all walks of life to focus on building their business management skills, reinforcing learning from previous eco-entrepreneurship training, and identifying solutions to challenges they may be facing.

During the event, participants reviewed their financial management tools and business plans, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth.

The WISE team provided guidance and support, using a financial management template to create financial records and offering expert advice on how to improve business profitability.

“We’re committed to empowering women entrepreneurs in Kaduna and beyond,” said Olanike Olugboji-Daramola, founder of WISE. “By providing them with the skills and tools they need to succeed, we’re helping to build a more sustainable and equitable future for our communities.”

The event was a resounding success, with participants leaving with renewed confidence and a sense of purpose.

“Today, I learned how to better manage my finances and identify areas for growth in my business,” said one participant. “I’m grateful for the support and guidance provided by WISE and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”

The WEA Eco-Entrepreneur Mentorship Field Guide event is just one of many initiatives undertaken by WISE to promote sustainable development and empower women in Kaduna. Through its programs, WISE is helping to build a brighter future for women and their communities.
