On November 2, 2024, the Women/Girls Initiative and Entrepreneurship Program proudly hosted a transformative step-down training session as part of the Women Initiative for Sustainable Environment (WISE) Microfinance and Eco-Entrepreneurship Training Scheme. Under the expert guidance of our Business Development Trainer, Lillian Ugwa, participants engaged in a dynamic learning experience focused on sustainable business practices and eco-friendly entrepreneurship.

At WISE, we understand that empowering women and girls is crucial for fostering sustainable development and economic growth. Our program is meticulously designed to equip participants with essential skills in financial literacy, green business strategies, and sustainable income generation. During the training, attendees gained valuable insights into managing small businesses, accessing microfinance opportunities, and integrating environmentally conscious practices into their ventures.

One of the highlights of the day was the NENU stove promotion, where participants had the opportunity to receive their stoves in excellent condition. This initiative not only promotes clean cooking solutions but also aligns with our commitment to environmental sustainability. By encouraging the use of eco-friendly stoves, we are helping to reduce carbon emissions and improve health outcomes for families in our communities.

The enthusiasm and engagement from the participants were truly inspiring. Women and girls left the session feeling empowered, armed with the knowledge and tools necessary to launch and sustain their eco-friendly businesses.
